We were watching conference today and reminiscing back when you were all home and we used to play the conference game as an incentive to get you kids to listen. I thought it would be fun, that even though you weren't here with us, hopefully you were all watching in the various places that you are so I thought I'd post some questions to you to ... see how well you were listening?
This is just for fun. Remember, you have to get 3 or more correct to win a prize and I usually had different prizes written down on pieces of paper that you would draw from a bowl. I'll just say that any of you who get 3 or more correct get ice cream on me the next time I see you. How's that?
Here goes:
1) How old is President Hinckley now?
2) Who is the new Counselor in the First Presidency?
3) Who is the new Apostle?
4) In Henry B. Eyring's talk he talked about writing a few lines down every day. What was the question he would ask himself before he wrote?
5) In Quenton R. Cook's talk what did he say was the percentage of Polynesians who are LDS?
6) In Julie S. Beck's talk (the new General R.S. President) what was her council on having children?
7) What was the topic of Elder Bednar's talk?
8) What analogy did Daniel K. Judd use at the beginning of his talk that had to do with horses?
9) In Dallin H. Oaks talk he was talking about the importance of time we spend as a family. What did he say kids really want for dinner?
10) What was Richard G. Scott's talk about?
11) How many conference talks did President Hinckley say he'd given over the years?
12) What was the closing song?
OK, so let me know how many you think you got right in your comments to this post and let me see how many of you I owe ice cream to! I love you all and hope you enjoyed conference as much as we did!
