Well, sorry its taken us so long to get a blog up. Seems like ever since we started packing we haven't stopped going and going. We had a successful trip down here in our extremely overpacked car. Drew is proud of himself, he said he did the best packing job of the year! I agree. The trip down to Utah where we made a pit stop at Dusty and Janes had to of been the longest 12 hour trip of our lives. But we got in a quick visit with Trav and Mar and the kids. We had an easy 4 hour trip to Vegas the next morning which was much more enjoyable.
We found our apartment, unpacked, found a place to eat, and tried getting to know our surroundings a little. The next day was the beginning of the painful job hunt. Which ended up being successful days later.

We don't get a lot of free time, but when we have some Drew has discovered In 'N Out burger....his new love. We seem to frequent that place way too often, almost every date night. Although, last night we went a new all you can eat buffet at the Red Rock Casino just built about 5 minutes from where we live. His work took us out for dinner, we came rolling home of course. We also made a visit to the temple here a few Sundays ago, we're still trying to figure out when we'll be able to get in a session there. It is a beautiful temple. We tried to take at picture of us with Angel Moroni in the background but as you can see we weren't exactly successful. We have about 6 pictures that all look similar to that one above. haha

So Drew started working the Monday after we got here. He has been doing AMAZING just as we all thought! He sold something his first hour out knocking doors and sold 5 his first day. The first week he was the number one salesman across this U.S. for his company and continues to be in the top 3. Everyone else in the top ten have all sold before or several times before. Drew is feeling good about how he is doing but its definitely not easy for him. He's working really hard and seeing the rewards. As you can see he has been getting quite a bit of sun. In case you didn't know, it is HOT here!!!!! Drew started getting tan just driving here. It's consistently in the upper 90's most days so we still have a lot of warmer days ahead. I have Drew on a strict Gatorade and water diet to keep him hydrated throughout the day.
After an emotional week of job hunting and missing my husband I found a job at a bridal gallery called The Bridal Gallery. haha It's not exactly what I thought it would be. I'm working 10 hour days 5 to 6 days a week, not great pay, no overtime pay and I'm lucky if I get a lunch break. I'm continuing to look for another job to see if something better will come along. I don't know if I want to handle anymore Bridezillas or their mothers. One bride threatened me the other day and told me I better RUN! haha There is always something entertaining at work with the bridezillas or my boss flipping out, or me finding papers posted to the shops front door saying my boss owes $80,000 in rent or she will be removed from her store by a sheriff. I seem to have found myself a job that is the Beaverton Bakery of bridal galleries....maybe I should give it some credit...its a step up from the bakery. It really makes me miss The Town Club AND what they paid me. haha
Even though our jobs our challenging we'rereally enjoying our time here. I don't mind Las Vegas as much as I thought I would....I don't even really mind the heat but thats probably because we have AC relief everywhere we go. Drew may say otherwise. I must say we've had our share of cockroaches and one GIANT spider that mom can tell you I was freaking out about. We finally killed that one and got our apartment sprayed from Drews company so we're (or I'm) not living in fear anymore. But even Drew agrees the spider was pretty big.
Anywho, thats all for now. We miss the beautiful green northwest and especially all of you. We love you and are excited to get to visit Portland soon for Drews sister, Courtneys, wedding. Trav and Mar we hope you guys will get a trip down to Vegas this summer so we can hook up with you sometime while you're visiting. Let us know. Love you all!
